Motorola has unveiled the Edge 60 Fusion, the first smartphone in the new Edge 60 series. This phone brings several firsts for the brand, including Moto AI out of the box and a quad-curved display with Pantone-validated colors.
The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion features a sleek, premium design. The quad-curved display smoothly transitions into the frame and back panel. So, the phone is comfortable to hold. The back panel comes in different finishes, including vegan leather and textile-inspired textures. It comes in PANTONE Slipstream, PANTONE Zephyr, and PANTONE Amazonite colors.
The phone features a 6.67-inch P-OLED panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The resolution has been increased to 1,220 x 2,712 pixels, offering sharper visuals than its predecessor. The peak brightness reaches an impressive 4,500 nits when watching HDR content. It also offers excellent visibility even in bright sunlight. The phone also has DC dimming that prevents flickering at lower brightness levels. The display also supports HDR10+, 10-bit color, and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage. Gorilla Glass 7i protection promises to keep the display safe from scratches.
Edge 60 Fusion is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset. Both variants offer solid performance for daily tasks and gaming. The phone is available in 8GB or 12GB RAM configurations, paired with 256GB or 512GB of storage.
The device runs Android 15 with Moto AI. This AI-driven system can transcribe and summarize audio. It also has Magic Canvas that can generate images based on text prompts. The company promises 3 years OS upgrade and 4 years of security updates.
The phone uses the 50MP Sony Lytia 700C sensor as the primary camera. This sensor supports Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and benefits from the Photo Enhancement Engine. It also has Adaptive Stabilization to improve video stability, and Action Shot optimizes shutter speed for moving subjects. The device also includes 13MP ultra-wide camera that can double as a macro shooter. On the front, there’s a 32MP selfie camera that supports 4K video recording. Motorola has also partnered with Pantone to ensure accurate colors, with the cameras being Pantone Validated and Pantone SkinTone Validated. A 3-in-1 light sensor on the back further enhances color accuracy and exposure calibration.
Edge 60 Fusion is Hi-Res Audio certified and features stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. It supports 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, USB-C, and NFC.
Edge 60 Fusion comes with either a 5,500mAh battery. Both versions support 68W TurboPower fast charging. Motorola claims that just 8-9 minutes of charging is enough for a full day’s use. However, the charger may not be included in all regions.
