2025 seems to be the year of super slim smartphones. With Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge and rumors of Apple’s iPhone 17 Air, the race to create the thinnest phone is heating up. However, Tecno surprised us by taking charge before the tech giants could make their move. At MWC 2025, Tecno unveiled Tecno Spark Slim, which redefines thinness without compromising on battery life.

At just 5.75mm thick, Tecno Spark Slim is the slimmest smartphone ever with a large battery. Still, it managed to pack a 5,200 mAh battery, which is larger than most flagship smartphones. Just for comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is 8.2 mm thick and packs a 5,000mAh battery.

Tecno Spark Slim

Before you get excited, let me clarify that Tecno Spark Slim is a concept device. There’s no guarantee that it will ever hit the market. But if Tecno does decide to release it, this phone could seriously shake things up.

Despite being incredibly thin, the Spark Slim isn’t just about looks. The phone features a 6.78-inch Curved OLED Display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh. So, it has a screen smoother than most flagship devices. The display has 4,500 nits of Peak Brightness, which is double the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s brightness.

The phone packs two 50-megapixel sensors on the back for high-resolution photography and a 13-megapixel Punch-Hole Selfie Camera. It packs a 5,200mAh Battery and supports 45W Fast Charging. Tecno Spark Slim packs an cta-Core Processor, but Tecno hasn’t revealed the exact chipset yet. But we know that the chipset is capable of running Google Gemini AI.

Tecno has managed to create a buzz with Spark Slim. The phone is super Slim with such a big battery. Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to be 6mm thick. SO, I don’t think Samsung or even Apple could launch a thinner device. Since Spark Slim is a concept device, it most probably won’t make it to stores.
