Capcom has announced the remastered version of Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. The game will also be playable on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X through backward compatibility.

The game was originally released for PlayStation 2 in 2002 and was a commercial success. It sold over 2.1 million copies. The game features Jubei Yagyu whose character model was based on the late Japanese actor Yusaku Matsuda.

Capcom says that the remaster will stay true to the original setting and gameplay systems. However, it will add quality-of-life improvements to enhance the experience on modern platforms.
