Meta has announced that WhatsApp is now joining Meta’s Accounts Center for a connected experience across Meta services. The company has now added an option in WhatsApp to share WhatsApp status directly to Instagram and Facebook.

The good thing is that WhatsApp integration into the Accounts Center is optional and is off by default. So, users have control over their accounts. Once they connect WhatsApp with the Accounts Center, users will be able to quickly reshare updates from WhatsApp Status to Facebook or Instagram Stories.

This integration will also offer a streamlined single sign-on feature. So, users can log back into their WhatsApp accounts more quickly.

Meta has also planned to bring more cross-app functionalities such as Imagine Me creations, unified management of avatars, and Meta AI stickers.

Meta again confirmed that privacy remains a top priority for the company. Your personal messages and calls continue to be protected by end-to-end encryption.

The new integration will be gradually rolled out to all users. Users will see the option to link their WhatsApp accounts in the app’s settings.
