Xiaomi has officially launched the REDMI K80 and K80 Pro smartphones at an event in China. These devices are packed with premium features, including top-notch displays, advanced performance, and robust camera systems.
Both the REDMI K80 and K80 Pro feature a 6.67-inch 2K AMOLED flat display co-developed with TCL. The display panel uses M9 luminescent material and has a peak brightness of 3200 nits. It also has a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and animations. Support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision promises lifelike colors and contrast. 12-bit color depth can render 68.7 billion colors and a 2560Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate ensures ultra-responsive interactions.
The smartphone boasts an ultra-narrow bottom bezel that’s 21% slimmer than its predecessor. These phones feature a glass back and a metal frame. The IP68 and IP69 ratings are also there to offer superior dust and water resistance.
REDMI K80 Pro packs Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC paired with a D1 gaming chip for enhanced gaming performance. The standard K80 runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The company has also upgraded cooling system with a vapor-liquid separation design and a massive 5400mm² cooling area. These phones are paired with Up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage.
The rear camera setup of Redmi K80 Pro has 50MP main sensor with OIS, 32MP ultra-wide camera, and 50MP 2.5x telephoto lens with 10cm macro capabilities. Redmi K80 has 50MP main camera with OIS and an 8MP 120° ultra-wide angle lens. Both phones feature the same 20MP selfie camera at the front.
These phones have 3D Ultrasonic Fingerprint sensor and Infrared sensor. Connectivity options are 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7 802.11 ad, Bluetooth 5.4, Beidou, GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, NavlC, NFC, and USB Type-C.
Redmi K80 Pro has a 6000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. Redmi K80 has a 6550mAh battery with 90W fast charging. The standard model lacks wireless charging.
There’s also a Redmi K80 Pro ‘Automobili Lamborghini SQUADRA CORSE’ edition that features a custom design, dual-tone colors, and a premium gift box. This variant comes only in 16GB + 1TB configuration.
