WhatsApp introduces Custom Chat Lists

Back in April, WhatsApp introduced an easy way to manage chats by adding tabs to filter chats. So, you can quickly filter Unread, Favourite, and Group chats quickly. Now the company is making this feature even better by allowing users to make Custom Lists.

Users can create multiple lists to categorize their chats based on various criteria There are unlimited possibilities of how you can use the feature to organize the chat. For example, you can create a custom list of friends, colleagues, and family members. You can easily add or remove chats from any list.

The UI has added a + icon next to tabs. Tapping the + icon will let you create a new chat list. The newly added list will appear next to existing chat filters including All, Unread, Favourite, and Groups. For adding a chat to a list, long tap on the chat and drag it to the desired list. You can edit a tap by long-tapping the name of the list. It also lets you change its order based on priorities.

With more organized chat list, you can quickly switch between different conversations and manage their messaging. It also lets you prioritize important list to stay focused and efficient.

WhatsApp has already started rolling out this feature to all users and it will be available to everyone in the coming weeks.
