Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is known as one of the most technically ambitious and impressive games of the year. Developer Saber Interactive and publisher Focus Entertainment have announced PS5 Pro support and a significant content update for the game.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is now getting PS5 Pro support, so the game can take full advantage of Sony’s upgraded console. Focus Entertainment confirmed that the game will leverage PSSR technology to upscale to 4K resolution in both Performance and Quality modes. The performance Mode can deliver resolution between 1080p and 1440p at around 60FPS. The Quality Mode aims to deliver a visually detailed experience. It can offer between 1080p and 2160p, running at 30 FPS.

In addition to PS5 Pro support, Space Marine 2 is preparing for a major update set to release in the first half of December. The co-op PvE mode Operations is receiving a thrilling new mission titled Operation: Obelisk. This mission runs parallel to the final events of the main campaign. Players are given task to travel Demerium to disrupt the energy shielding the Aurora device

The new Dark Angels Chapter Pack includes a distinctive armor set and banner for the Bulwark class. It also offers unique Dark Angels Storm Shield, heraldry items and skins for weapons like the Auto Bolt Rifle, Plasma Pistol, and Power Sword. The update also introduces new armor pieces and 15 color options for lenses.

Since its launch in September, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has enjoyed good success. Now the game has crossed over 5 million players across PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It is worth noting that the game crossed 2 million players within its first two days and reached 4.5 million players by October.
