GSC Game World has announced that its recently launched video game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl has already surpassed one million sales.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl was released on November 20, 2024, for Xbox Series and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. The game is also available via Game Pass.

The game hit the one million sold milestone less than 48 hours after launch and also saw a peak concurrent player count of 117,928 on Steam. At the time of writing this article, it was second among top-selling games and eighth among most-played games on Steam.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is the first-person shooter survival horror game developed and published by GSC Game World. It is set in a post-apocalyptic Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. Players the role of a Stalker, a mercenary venturing into the dangerous Zone for artifacts and other valuable items.

The game has received generally positive reviews. Critics praise its immersive world, challenging gameplay, and atmospheric storytelling. However, some users and critics also criticized the game for technical issues and occasional performance problems.
