Xiaomi just launched its latest budget 5G phone Redmi A4 5G in India. This is the successor to Redmi A3 that was launched last year. Redmi A4 5G is also the first entry-level smartphone to feature Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC.
Redmi A4 5G features a 6.88-inch HD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate. It also boasts 600 nits of peak brightness. The display also has TÜV low blue light certification and TÜV flicker-free certification.
The phone packs Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 4nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 611 GPU. It also has 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and is offered with 64GB or 128GB UFS2.2 storage. The phone also has a microSD card slot to expand storage up to 1TB.
Redmi A4 5G runs HyperOS based on Android 14 out of the box. The company also promises two years of OS updates and four years of security updates.
The smartphone has 50 megapixels primary camera and a secondary camera. It has 5 megapixels selfie camera. The phone can record 1080P 30fps from the rear and front cameras.
It has 5G SA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C connectivity. The fingerprint sensor is embedded into the side button. The phone packs a 5160mAh battery with support for 18W charging.
Redmi A4 5G measures 171.88×77.80×8.22mm and weighs 212.35g. It also carries an IP52 rating for dust and splash resistance. The phone comes in Sparkle Purple and Starry black colors.
