OPPO has unveiled its latest Reno13 and Reno13 Pro smartphones at a launch event in China. These phones promise to deliver improvements in display, performance, and camera technology, alongside impressive durability features.
OPPO Reno13 series offers a premium design with metal frames. These phones also feature advanced dust and water resistance ratings of IP66, IP68, and IP69 to ensure protection against various environmental factors. Reno13 comes in Butterfly Purple, Galaxy Blue and Midnight Black colors. Reno13 Pro is offered in Butterfly Purple, Starlight Pink, and Midnight Black colors.
The Reno13 features a 6.59-inch flat OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 1200 nits. Reno13 Pro comes with a larger 6.83-inch quad-curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and peak brightness. Both phones also feature 3840Hz PWM dimming technology to minimize screen flicker.
Both devices pack a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset built on a 4nm process. The octa-core processor delivers robust performance and features a Mali-G615 MC6 GPU for efficient graphics processing. An X1 chip enhances network connectivity and overall device efficiency. These phones support up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 3.1 storage.
The Reno13 features a 50MP primary camera with Sony’s IMX882 sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. There’s also a 50MP front-facing camera with Samsung’s JN5 sensor. The phone also supports 4K 60fps video recording.
Reno13 Pro has the same camera setup but also includes an additional 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom. Selfie camera is also the same in Reno13 Pro.
Both phones offer comprehensive connectivity options, including 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and advanced GPS support. The in-display fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers enhance the overall user experience.
Reno13 packs a 5600mAh battery and the Reno13 Pro featurs a larger 5800mAh battery. Both phones support 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. However, Pro model also has 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging.
