In a surprising move, Nintendo has launched a music streaming app Nintendo Music for Android and iOS. The app provides access to music from Nintendo games including Splatoon, Animal Crossing, and The Legend of Zelda. It is important to note that the service is only for Switch Online subscribers.
Nintendo Music app brings curated playlists themed around games, moods, moments, and characters. Users can also build their playlists. Switch Online subscribers can either stream music or download it for offline listening. To avoid spoilers, the app also has an option to hide soundtracks from games you haven’t finished yet. You get high-quality audio streaming and customization options for looping and extending tracks.
The UI of the app is almost similar to the UI of YouTube Music. Both apps have similar placement for album names, cover art, and buttons. It also offers a similar mini-player on the Playlist page.
