Lava has today launched its latest smartphone Lava Agni 3 5G in India. The most notable feature of the phone is its secondary display on the back. It will be available from Amazon.in.

Lava Agni 3 5G features a 6.78-inch 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 1200 nits peak brightness. The display also supports HDR 10+. There is also a 1.7-inch secondary AMOLED display on the back panel. The company calls it Instascreen. Instascreen lets users see notifications, receive calls, use it as a viewfinder for taking selfies using the rear camera, and more quick actions. When you are not using this display, it shows the animated character firey.

The phone has an IP64-rated dust and water-resistant design. It weighs 212g and measures 163.7×75.53×8.8mm. The phone comes in Pristine Glass and Heather Glass colors. Lava Agni 3 also features an Action button that offers single-click, double-click, or long-press actions.

The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300X SoC. Dimensity 7300X SoC is a mid-range SoC that includes an octa-core processor and Mali-G615 MC2 GPU to provide sufficient power to the phone. There is a large 5000mm² copper-plated 9-layer Vapour Chamber cooling. It also has X-Axis Linear Motor Haptics for improved experience. The phone also comes with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM for improved multitasking. It comes in 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

It runs Android 14 out of the box and promises bloatware clean UI. Lava also boasts 3 Android updates and 4 years of security updates

The rear camera setup has 50 megapixels primary camera with OIS, 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera, and 8 megapixels telephoto camera. For selfies, the phone has a 16 megapixels front camera. While the camera specs look promising, it will be interesting to see how they perform in real-world scenarios.

Lava Agni 3 5G comes with stereo speakers and supports Dolby Atmos. It also has an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Connectivity options are 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E 802.11 ax, Bluetooth 5.4, Beidou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, USB Type-C, and NFC. The smartphone packs a 5000mAh battery with 66W fast charging.
