TECNO has launched its latest smartphone TECNO POP 9 5G in India. This is a budget phone but comes with good specs for the price. The phone has a 6.6-inch HD+ display, Dimensity 6300 6nm processor, 4GB RAM, dual rear camera, 8MP selfie camera, and 5000 mAh battery.
TECNO POP 9 5G sports a 6.6-inch HD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate. It feels good to see budget Android phones coming with high-refresh rate displays but the iPhone 16 still offers a 60Hz display. TECNO POP 9 5G runs Android 14 with HiOS 14 out of the box and promises to offer over 4 years of lag-free performance.
The phone packs Octa Core MediaTek Dimensity 6300 6nm processor and Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It also has 4GB RAM and supports an additional 4GB virtual RAM expansion. The smartphone comes with 64GB or 128GB storage options and Internal storage is further expandable with a microSD card.
The rear camera setup includes a 48 megapixels primary camera with a Sony IMX582 sensor and a secondary AI sensor. There’s also a dual LED flash for low-light photos. For selfies, the phone includes 8 8-megapixel front camera.
The smartphone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and an IR sensor. It also has stereo speakers and supports Dolby Atmos. Connectivity options are 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB Type-C, and NFC. The phone packs a 5000mAh battery with 18W charging support.
It has a Dust and Splash resistant body and comes with an IP54 ratio. The dimensions of the phone measure 165 x 77 x 8mm and the phone weighs 189g. It comes in Midnight Shadow, Azure Sky, and Aurora Cloud colors. TECNO also offers two additional back panel skins in the box for further customization.
