Intel has launched its new Intel Core Ultra 200V series x86 processors. These processors promise to deliver outstanding performance, enhanced security, AI computing capabilities, and exceptional power efficiency. Intel claims that these are also its most efficient x86 processors to date.
Intel Core Ultra 200V series processors are designed to deliver superior low-power performance for AI-powered PCs. The company confirmed that it managed to reduce power consumption by up to 50% and achieved up to 120 TOPS CPU, GPU, and NPU.
It is also worth noting that these are also the first Intel processors to be manufactured by TSMC using a 3nm manufacturing process. All the processors have 4 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores.
The integrated graphics in the Intel Core Ultra 200V promise a boost in performance compared to previous generations. The company also confirmed that these new processors are fully compatible with existing Windows applications to ensure a seamless user experience.
Intel has also added built-in security features including hardware-based security, threat detection, and data protection to built-in security features protect against various threats.
These processors support DDR5 memory. The new chips come with 16/32GB dual channel LPDDR5x-8533 memory, Users won’t be able to add more memory. Intel says that the built-in RAM approach allows for greater power efficiency and lower power consumption.
It also supports various storage options, including PCIe Gen 4 SSDs. Advanced thermal management features also help to keep the processor cool under heavy loads. Thunderbolt 4 support enables high-speed data transfer and connection of external devices. The Wi-Fi 6E compatibility provides reliable wireless connectivity. Other connectivity options are USB4, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and Gigabit Ethernet.
Laptop manufacturers including ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Acer, MSI, LG, and Samsung are also announcing their laptops with these processors starting today.
