First of all, let’s talk about the design. The phone features a Gen2 Repairability design. It has a simple one-screw mechanism to open the back panel and access the internals. Users can easily replace the battery, display, and other components even if they don’t have technical expertise. It also reduces electronic waste and extends the lifespan of the phone.

HMD Skyline features a 6.55-inch FHD+ pOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate and up to 1000 nits brightness. There’s also Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection to protect the display from scratches.

It packs Octa Core Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 4nm SoC and Adreno 710 GPU. The phone also has 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Internal storage is also expandable up to 1TB with a microSD card. The phone runs Android 14 out of the box and promises 2 years of updates along with 3 years of security patches.

It has 108 megapixels primary camera with Hybrid OIS+EIS, 13 megapixels MP Ultra-wide camera, and a 50 megapixels telephoto camera. The phoen can record 4K videos and also offers OZO Spatial Audio capture with wind-noise cancellation. HMD Skyline also features a 50 megapixels front camera with eye-tracking focus.

It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone also has stereo speakers and features IP54 dust and water-resistant. There is also a dedicated button that can be customized. Users can add an action for a single press or another for a double press.

Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ax, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS/A-GPS, Galileo L1/L5 dual-band, GLONASS, BDS, USB Type-C, and NFC.

HMD Skyline packs a 4600 mAh battery with support for 33W wired charging, 15W magnetic wireless charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging. You can use any magnetized Qi2 charger to charge the phone. HMD claims that the battery has been tested to maintain at least 80% of its original capacity after 800 full charging cycles. It is worth noting that the phone doesn’t come with a charger. You will have to buy it separately.

HMD Skyline is priced at Rs. 35,999 and will be available from Amazon.in, HMD.com, and at retail stores starting from September 17th. For now, the company is offering 33W Type C fast charger complimentary as a part of the launch offer.
