OnePlus has launched the OnePlus Open Apex Edition in the new Crimson Shadow color in India. The phone joins the existing Emerald Dusk and Voyager Black versions of the OnePlus Open.
OnePlus Open Apex Edition features a premium vegan leather back with a diamond-like pattern and orange accents. The alert slider features a texturized finish and an orange accent color. The alert slider now supports VIP mode which lets you go incognito by turning off the camera, mic, and location sharing. The company says that this has been achieved through chip-level encryption and privacy.
OnePlus Open Apex Edition comes with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0. There is no change in other specifications.
OnePlus Open is said to be one of the best foldable phones available in the market. The phone features IPX4 water-resistance and can withstand water splashes. The main foldable display measures 7.82 inches and promises excellent contrast, vivid colors, and high brightness. It also has a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals. The phone also has a 6.31-inch LTPO3 OLED cover display.
It packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor that delivers top-tier performance for demanding tasks like multitasking, video editing, and gaming. It also has 16GB of LPDDR5X and 1TB of storage. The phone runs Android 13 with OxygenOS 13.2 on top.
The phone also features a versatile triple-camera system that includes a 48MP main sensor, a 64MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 48MP ultrawide sensor. For selfies, it has a 32MP sensor on the cover display and a 20MP sensor on the main display.

OnePlus Open Apex Edition is priced at Rs. 1,49,999. The company has also announced several launch offers including no cost EMI up to 12 months and instant bank count of Rs. 20,000 with ICICI Bank Cards.
OnePlus Open Apex Edition will be available from OnePlus.in, Amazon.in, OnePlus Experience Stores along with other partner stores such as Reliance Digital, Bajaj, Croma, Vijay Sales. Sales begin on August 10th, 10 AM onwards.
