Motorola today launched its latest smartphone Motorola Edge 50 in India. The phone joins existing Moto Edge 50 series that already have Moto Edge 50 Pro, Moto Edge 50 Ultra, and Moto Edge 50 Fusion.
Motorola Edge 50 comes with a 6.67-inch 1.5K 10-bit pOLED curved display with 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. The display panel supports HDR10+ and has up tp 1900 nits peak brightness. The. Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection protects the panel from scratches.
The phone is powered by 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 (4nm) Accelerated Edition mobile platform and Adreno 644 GPU. There’s also a vapour chamber cooling system to keep the temperature of phone under control while gaming. It has 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB (UFS 2.2) storage.
The Edge 50 runs Android 14 out of the box. It also promises 2 years of Android updates and 3 years of security updates. The phone also comes with Google AI features including Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, and Magic Editor. There is also Moto AI suit that has features like Adaptive Stabilisation and Smar Colour Optimisation.
The rear camera setup has 50 megapixels primary camera with Sony LYT-700C sensor and OIS. It also has 13 megapixels ultra-wide camera and 10 megapixels 3x Telephoto camera. For selfies, the phone has 32 megapixels front-facing camera.
Motorola Edge 50 has an in-display fingerprint sensor. It also has stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos.
The smartphone has MIL 810H military-grade certification. So, the phone can withstand extremely high or low temperature, pressure, shock, vibration, pressure, dust and salt fog. It also has IP68 rating for dust and splash resistance. Motorola Edge 50 is 7.79mm thick and weighs 181 grams.
Connectivity options are 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, USB Type-C, and NFC. The phone packs 5000mAh battery with 68W Turbo charging and 15W Wireless Charging.
Motorola Edge 50 is priced at Rs. 27,999 and will be available from motorola.in, Flipkart and offline stores starting August 8th. The company is also offering Rs. 2000 instant discount with Axis Bank and IDFC First Bank credit cards and credit card EMI.
