AI Overviews

Google has expanded AI overviews to six more countries including India. AI Overview was initially introduced back in May and was limited to the US only. The feature aims to provide quick information for different search queries using AI. People are already using it to get answers to longer questions and for explanations of complex subjects.

AI-overviews provides information and perspectives from a diverse range of sources. Google says that it sells higher engagement from younger users when they use AI overviews. After testing and positive feedback, the company is now rolling out the feature in the United Kingdom, India, Japan, Indonesia, Mexico, and Brazil. It is also adding local language support in each country.

Google is also launching new capabilities for AI Overviews in Search Labs. Users need to enroll in the “AI Overviews and more” experiment in Search Labs to try new capabilities.

Now users can save a specific AI Overview for future reference and get back to it later. The company has added a ‘save’ button under AI overview for this. To check AI Overviews, tap your profile icon from Search and go to your Interests page. This feature is only available for English queries in the U.S.
