WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new generative AI feature that lets users create AI-generated images’ of you. So, you can have a personalized avatar of yourself on your WhatsApp profile.

The feature will be powered by Meta AI technology and has been added to WhatsApp beta version 2.24.14.13 for Android. But before using this feature, users need to enable it in settings and complete the setup by providing a few of your photos beforehand. Users will also be able to select between different Llama models.

WhatsApp personalized AI Avatar

To generate AI avatars of you, just use Meta AI chat. Go to Meta AI chat and type “Imagine me” in the chat. It will provide AI-generated avatars.

We cannot say when the feature will be available in the stable version. This feature relies on the Meta AI chatbot which is still not available for many users. So, the AI avatar feature will be available only after the Meta AI chatbot is available to all.
