Motorola today day launched its latest smartphone Moto G85 5G in India. The phone is the successor to last year’s Moto G84 and brings significant upgrades.
Motorola is continuing its curved display form factor even in the low-price segment. Moto G85 5G features a 6.67-inch FHD+ 10-bit curved pOLED display. The display panel has up to 1600 nits brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The display panel also has a 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate.

The phone runs Android 14 out of the box. Motorola promises 2 years of Android updates and security updates for the next 3 years.
It packs Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 6nm 5G SoC and Adreno 619 GPU. The phone comes in two variants: 8+128GB and 12+256GB. It uses LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2. The phone supports up to 12GB virtual RAM support with a RAM Boost feature. Internal storage is also expandable up to 1TB via microSD card.
Moto G85 5G has 50 megapixels primary camera with Sony LYT-600 sensor, f/1.8 aperture and OIS. It also has 8 megapixels 118° ultra-wide camera that can also capture macro shots. For selfies, the phone has 32 megapixels camera.
It has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. The fingerprint sensor is under the display. The smartphone also has 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/ GLONASS/ Beidou, and USB Type-C connectivity. It also has Proximity, Ambient Light, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Sar, and Magnetometer sensors.
Moto G85 5G measures 161.91 x 74.06 x 7.59mm and weighs 171g. It is also IP52 water-resistant. The phone comes in Olive Green, Cobalt Blue, and Urban Grey colors.
