HMD today launched two smartphones HMD Crest and HMD Crest Max in India. Both the phones are mostly similar, but different in camera setup. HMD Crest Max has a triple camera setup and HMD Crest comes with a dual camera. HMD Crest Max also offers more RAM and storage than HMD Crest.
HMD Crest and HMD Crest Max feature the same 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display. Both phones run on Android and come with a clean interface without any bloatware. The company also promises 2 years of security updates.
These phones pack 6nm UNISOC T760 processor with with Mali-G57 MC4 GPU. HMD Crest comes with 6GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB storage. On the other hand, HMD Crest Max is offered with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB storage. Internal storage is also expandable.
HMD Crest comes with a 50 megapixels primary rear camera and a 2 megapixels depth camera. HMD Crest Max has 64 megapixels primary camera, 5 megapixels ultra-wide camera, and 2 megapixels macro camera. For selfies, these phones have 50 megapixels front camera.
Both phones have a side mounted Fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options are 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. These phones also pack a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
The most notable thing in the phone is Repairability 1.0. This implies the replacement of the Back Panel, Battery, Display, or Charging Port.
HMD Crest comes in Midnight Blue, Royal Pink, and Lush Lilac colors. It costs Rs. 14,499. HMD Crest Max is offered in Deep Purple, Royal Pink, and Aqua Green colors. It is priced at Rs. 16499.
These phones will go on sale on Amazon in August during the Amazon Great Freedom sale. During the sale, HMD Crest and HMD Crest Max will be available at a special introductory price of Rs. 12,999 and Rs. 14,999 respectively.
