Apple has also unveiled macOS Sequoia at WWDC 2024. macOS Sequoia is the next version of MacOS and will be released later this year. The macOS Sequoia also introduces Apple Intelligence which brings the power of AI.

The most notable feature of MacOS Sequoia is the ability to mirror iPhone to MacBook through the Continuity feature. It will also let you control your iPhone from a Mac. You can use a keyboard, trackpad, and mouse on the Mac to interact with the iPhone. The audio will also come through Mac. It also lets you drag and drop files between iPhone and Mac. During the whole process, your iPhone remains locked.

Safari is getting Highlights, an easy way to discover information on the web. The company has also redesigned Reader to add more ways to enjoy articles without distractions. If Safari detects a video on a web page, Viewer helps users put it front and center.

Video conferencing is also getting better. The new presenter preview will make it easier to present something on video calls. It works with apps like FaceTime and Zoom. Users can also apply beautiful built-in backgrounds from a variety of color gradients and system wallpapers. Users can also upload their own photos to use as Background. Background replacement will also be available during a video call in FaceTime or in third-party apps.

The company has unveiled a new Passwords App to keep passwords safe and organized. The app is built on the foundation of Keychain. The Passwords app makes it easy to access passwords, passkeys, and other credentials in one place. It will also use iCloud to sync passwords across Apple devices.

Apple Intelligence is bringing the power of AI to the Mac. It unlocks new ways for users to enhance their writing. The company is making it available across different apps including Mail, Notes, Pages, and third-party apps.

With Image Playground, users can create images in seconds by choosing from one of three styles including Animation, Illustration, or Sketch. There will be a dedicated Image Playground app, but the feature will also be built into the messages app.

Memories feature in the Photos app lets users create stories just by typing a description. It will pick the best photos and videos based on description. There will also be a new Clean Up tool that can identify and remove distracting objects.

Siri is also becoming better with Apple Intelligence. It has become more natural, contextually relevant, and personal. Users can type to Siri, and switch between text and voice to communicate anytime they want.

Apple also unveiled Game Porting Toolkit 2. It comes with improved Windows compatibility and enhanced debugging tools.

MacOS Sequoia beta will be available later this month. The final release will be available by the end of this year with the release of the new iPhone.
