Sony has announced its latest flagship smartphone Sony Xperia 1 VI. The phone comes with an impressive display, nice camera setup, powerful performance, and more high-end features. Let’s explore the specs and features of the Sony Xperia 1 VI

Sony Xperia 1 VI sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 1-120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz Touch scanning rate. The display comes with state-of-the-art display technology inherited from the Bravia 9 TV. Sony Xperia 1 VI’s display has 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 240Hz Motion blur reduction. It also features a creator mode powered by CineAlta that is inspired by Master Monitor color reproduction. There is also a Sunlight Vision mode. It offers improved visibility in outdoor lighting conditions. This mode also uses AI image processing to prevent overexposed highlights.

The display panel also has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The glass back also has Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The phone measures 162 x 74 x 8.2 mm and it weighs 192g. It is also IP68 dust and water-resistant. Sony Xperia 1 VI comes in Black, Platinum Silver, and Khaki Green color options.

The phone is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 4nm SoC with Adreno 750 GPU. The company included a new Game Enhancer that dynamically optimizes CPU usage and frame rate based on the game’s requirements. It also refines touch inputs and offers three tracking speeds for an unparalleled gaming experience. For improved thermal management, it includes a vapor chamber. It also has 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage. Storage is also expandable up to 1.5TB via microSD card.

Sony Xperia 1 VI runs Android 14 out of the box. The company also promises 3 OS upgrades and 4 years of security updates.

The phone also has an impressive camera setup. It features 48 megapixels primary camera with Exmor T sensor, Hybrid OIS/EIS, and f/1.9 aperture. There is also a 12 megapixels 123° 16 mm ultra wide-angle camera, and 12 megapixels telephoto camera offering 3.5 to 7.1x equivalent optical zoom along with 21.3X hybrid zoom. The camera software features Real-Time Eye AF and Real-Time Tracking. It also allows 4K video recordings. For selfies, the phone has 12 megapixels front camera with an 84° wide-angle lens and 4K video recordings.

Sony Xperia 1 VI also offers an impressive audio performance. It has 360 Reality Audio, 360 Reality Audio hardware decoding, 360 Spatial Sound, Dolby Atmos, and Qualcomm aptX HD audio. The phone has a 3.5 mm audio jack, Full-Stage stereo speakers, and supports Stereo Recording.

There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options are 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E 802.11 ax, Bluetooth 5.4 LE, GPS/ GLONASS, NFC, and USB 3.2 Type-C.

The phone packs a 5000mAh Battery with 30W fast charging and Xperia Adaptive Charging. It also supports Qi Wireless charging.

Xperia 10 VI is priced at €399/£349 and it will be available from mid-June.
