Samsung just launched its latest smartphone Samsung Galaxy F55 5G in India. The phone feels the same as Galaxy M55 5G that was launched in the country last month. The phone has a 6.7-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 7 gen 1, up to 12GB RAM, up to 256GB storage, 50+5+2 MP rear camera, 50MP selfie camera, in-display fingerprint sensor, and 5000mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy F55 5G features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Plus Infinity-O Display with 120Hz refresh rate. It also boasts up to 1000 nits peak brightness. The display feels really good and smooth. The smartphone runs Samsung One UI 6.1 based on Android 14. The company promises 4 generations of Android updates and 5 years of security updates.
The phone packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 (4nm) SoC and Adreno 644 GPU. The phone comes in 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB+256GB models.
It has a triple camera setup on the back panel. There is a 50 megapixels primary camera with OIS, 5 megapixels ultra-wide angle camera, and 2 megapixels depth camera. For selfies, the phone has 50 megapixels front camera.
Samsung Galaxy F55 5G has an in-display fingerprint sensor. It also has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. Connectivity options are 5G SA / NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C, and NFC.
The phone packs 5000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging.
Samsung Galaxy F55 5G comes in Apricot Crush and Raisin Black color options. It has a vegan leather back panel that feels really good. Samsung also claims that the Galaxy F55 5G is the slimmest and lightest vegan leather smartphone on this segment in this price segment. It has a punch-hole cutout at the top-centre for the selfie camera. The volume controls and a power on/off button are on the right side and the SIM tray is on the left side. The base side has a USB Type-C port and a speaker grille.
