Screenshots of Valve’s upcoming game Deadlock shared on X


Valve has already begun testing its upcoming game in closed beta. The game is called Deadlock and could be announced soon. As per reports, a few gamers are already playing the game under an NDA. But, screenshots have been shared by a a few X users.

Deadlock will be a 6v6 MOBA game that combines elements of Overwatch, Valorant, and Dota 2. In one of the screenshots attached to the post above, we can see a character named Grey Talon and his abilities.

Valve is a popular video game publisher best known for Dota, Counter-Strike, and Half-life. However, the company is now mainly focused on its game publishing platforms. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive fans also waited for more than 10 years for Counter-Strike 2 for more than 10 years. The company also recently released the hand-held gaming console Steam Deck.

Valve’s Counter-strike 2 and Dota 2 are really popular and we see them generally ruling the chart on Steam. So, it won’t be hard for Deadlock to get early gamers.

Valve initially focused on games like Half-Life and Portal, but later shifted focus to its Steam game store. Gamers also accused the company of ignoring its game and not providing enough updates. It also recently released the handheld gaming console Steam Deck. However, the company surprised gamers when it announced Counter-strike 2. Now it seems the company is shifting its focus back to games. Counter-strike: Global Offensive was once a popular esports game, but lost to Valorant. Now the company wants to reclaim its esports glory with Deadlock.
