Adobe is adding some notable generative AI tools to Premier Pro. The company has demonstrated Object Addition, Object Removal, Generative Extend, and Text to Video features for Premiere Pro. These features are powered by Adobe’s new video model that is joining the family of Firefly models.

Names of these features explain what they do. Object Addition and Object Removal feature let users add an object or remove unwanted objects from a video. This feature uses Firefly’s generative AI.

The Generative Extend feature lets users add frames to make a clip longer. The company uses AI to create extra media and add edit or transition needed. Text to Video will let you generate video footage simply by typing a text prompt or by uploading reference images.

Adobe also confirmed that users will be able to use third-party generative AI models directly into Premiere Pro.

Adobe says that these features will arrive later this year. The company is also adding Content Credentials to identify AI-generated media.

Along with these generative AI features, Adobe Premiere Pro is also getting some new features including interactive fade handles, a New Essential Sound badge with audio category tagging, Effect badges, and Redesigned waveforms in the timeline. These features will be available in May.
