Honor X9b with 6.78-inch 1.5K 120Hz curved AMOLED display, Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, 5800mAh battery launched in India

HONOR X9b

HTech has launched Honor’s latest mid-range smartphone Honor X9b in its X series in India. Honor X9b features a 6.78-inch AMOLED 120Hz curved display, Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, 108+5+2 MP rear camera, 16MP selfie camera, and 5000mAh battery.

HONOR X9b features a 6.78-inch 1.5K curved AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1200 nits peak brightness. The display panel also boasts 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.

The most notable feature of the phone is its durable design. It has Ultra-Bounce Anti Drop display technology that includes cushioning and shock-absorbing structure to provide impressive drop resistance and en-suites 360° protection. The phone can easily survive accidental drops.

Honor X9b is also IP53 Dust and splash-resistant. It comes only in two colors: Sunrise Orange and Midnight Black colors. Even if the phone packs a large battery, it weighs only 185g and measures 163.6×75.5×7.98mm.

The smartphone packs a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 4nm processor with Adreno 710 GPU. It also has 8GB LPDD4X RAM and supports up to 8GB of virtual RAM. The phone features 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone scores well on AnTuTu and Geekbench confirming its high performance.

Honor X9b runs MagicOS 7.2 based on Android 13 out of the box. That’s a bit disappointing when the majority of brands now offer Android 14. Honor also promises two years of major software upgrades and three years of security updates.

The rear camera setup includes 108 megapixels primary camera, 5 megapixels ultra-wide camera, and 2 megapixels macro camera. The primary 108 megapixels camera outputs 12 megapxiels photos. The camera performance seems good considering its price. It captures good photos and nice portraits. For selfies, the phone also has 16 megapixels
Front camera.

Honor X9b packs a 5,800mAh battery that promises 3 days of usage. It supports 35W fast charging, but no charger is bundled in the box. However, the company will ship the phone with a 30W charger for a limited time.

Connectivity options of Honor X9b are 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. The phone has bottom-ported speakers and USB Type-C Audio. There is also an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Honor X9b is priced at Rs. 25999. The company has also announced a Rs. 3000 Instant Bank discount for ICICI Bank users bringing the effective price down to Rs. 22999. Honor is also giving away a Charger worth Rs 699 free of cost.

It will be available from Amazon.in, Honor website and offline stores starting from tomorrow, February 16th. Customers will also get a HONOR Protect Plan powered by Onsitego. This will provide a one-time screen replacement in six months, a six-month extended warranty, and a 30-day Assured Buyback.
