OnePlus 12R with 1.5K 120Hz LTPO AMOLED Display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 5500mAh Battery launched in India

Along with OnePlus 12, OnePlus also officially launched the OnePlus 12R in India. This latest device in the R series comes with an improved design and better specs than its predecessor. The phone comes with a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, up to 16GB RAM, up to 256GB storage, a 50+8+2 MP rear camera, 16MP selfie camera, and a 5500mAh battery.

The OnePlus 12R comes in two distinct finishes: Cool Blue, which offers a glossy finish with a light, and Iron Gray, providing a matte feel for a sophisticated and robust feel. The company has also teased the launch of a special OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact edition soon. The three-stage alert slide has been repositioned to the left-hand side of the phone. This strategic move allows the company to introduce an integrated antenna and Alert Slider solution, enhancing antenna performance for an improved gaming experience.

At the heart of the OnePlus 12R is a stunning 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with an impressive 120Hz LTPO panel. The screen offers a resolution of 2780×1264 pixels and supports wet hand control. The display panel has up to 4500 nits peak brightness and 360Hz touch sampling rate. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and is coupled with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 4.0 storage. It ensures seamless multitasking and ample storage capacity. OnePlus has integrated a substantial 9140mm² Dual Cryo-velocity VC Cooling System, which is more than 76% larger than its predecessor in the OnePlus 11R, ensuring efficient heat dissipation during extended usage and gaming sessions. The device runs on Android 14 with OxygenOS 14 and promises an impressive four years of Android updates along with five years of security updates.

The OnePlus 12R boasts a versatile camera setup, featuring a 50MP main camera with Sony IMX890 sensor and OIS support, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The phone also has a 16 megapixels front camera for selfies.

The phone has an In-display fingerprint sensor and an Infrared sensor. It has Stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos. OnePlus 12R has 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7 802.11 be (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, Beidou: B1I+B1C+B2a; GPS: L1+L5; GLONASS: G1; Galileo: E1+E5a; QZSS: L1+L5, NFC, and USB Type-C.

OnePlus has equipped the 12R with a 5500mAh battery, the largest ever in a OnePlus phone. The phone also has 100W SuperVOOC fast charge support, capable of fully charging the device in just 26 minutes. This is made possible through the integration of the SUPERVOOC S power management chip and proprietary Battery Health Engine technology.

The OnePlus 12R will be available in two configurations. The 8GB + 128GB model of the OnePlus 12 is priced at Rs. 39,999 and the 16GB + 256GB model costs Rs. 45,999. The device is set to go on sale from February 6th on Amazon.in, the official OnePlus online store, and OnePlus experience stores offline.
