Microsoft introduces Copilot Pro subscription offering advanced AI features

Microsoft has today officially announced a Copilot Pro subscription for individual consumers who want more advanced AI capabilities. Copilot Pro costs a $20 monthly subscription and provides access to AI features inside Office apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote on Windows, macOS, and iPad.

Official 365 subscribers will get all these AI features just by paying $20 extra. Pro subscription also offers image generation via Designed. Subscribers will get 100 boosts per day.

Subscribers will also get access to the latest OpenAI models and the ability to build custom Copilot GPT. However, it will be initially available with a focus on particular purposes such as travel, fitness, and more.

If you are not a Microsoft 365 subscriber, you can still subscribe to Copilot Pro to get priority access to GPT-4 Turbo via Copilot. It will also offer faster performance during peak times.

The company first launched these AI-powered features for business users back in November. Today, most of those features are coming to individual users via Copilot Pro subscription. The ability to generate a PowerPoint deck based on a Word document won’t be available to individual users.

Copilot for Microsoft 365 is also now available for small businesses with Microsoft 365 Business Premium. Businesses can purchase between one and 299 seats for $30 per person per month. The company has removed 300-seat purchase minimum for commercial plans.

Microsoft also officially announced the copilot app for Android and iOS. These apps have been available on the App Store and Play Store for the past few days, but this is the first time Microsoft is officially talking about them.
