Sony has confirmed that the remastered version of The Last Of Us Part 2 will be released for PlayStation 5 on January 19, 2024. It will feature improved loading times, native 4K output in Fidelity Mode, upscaled to 4K in Performance Mod, and full integration with the PS5’s new DualSense wireless controller.
The company claims that the Part II Remastered takes advantage of the PS5’s power in more ways. Gamers will enjoy better haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for a better immersive experience.
Gamers, who already own The Last of Us Part II on PlayStation 4, can upgrade to the digital version of The Last of Us Part II Remastered for $10. Gamers with PS4 disc copies must insert the disc into the PS5 whenever they want to play the PS5 digital version.
The game features a new roguelite survival mode that lets players choose their own path through a series of randomized encounters with different enemies and locations. There will also be unlockable characters in this mode. Some of these characters were never playable in the franchise.
We have no information on when the PC version of the remaster will be released.
