Threads Users Can now Post Polls and GIFs

Threads

Meta, the company that owns Instagram, has some exciting news. They are adding new features to their Threads app. You can now create polls and share GIFs right from the Threads post composer. This means you can make your Threads posts even more fun and interactive.

Instagram Threads, which competes with Meta’s X, is getting even more similar to X with these new features. In addition to polls and GIFs, Instagram is also testing view counts on Threads posts. This will show you how many people have viewed your posts. They are also working on pinned posts, which means you can make important posts stay at the top of your profile or replies.

These new features are coming quickly after other updates to the Threads app. You can now use Threads on the web, edit your posts for free, switch between different profiles, like posts, search for specific words in posts, see posts in chronological order, make voice posts, and more.

Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, is very excited about Threads. He thinks it could become a very popular app with over a billion users. He even shared his excitement in a Threads post along with a GIF of UFC announcer Bruce Buffer with the caption: “How I feel about polls and GIFs rolling out today on Threads.”

To share GIFs on Threads, it’s easy. Just click on the GIF icon and search for the one you want. You can see the trending GIFs, or you can use the search bar to find a specific one. This makes sharing GIFs in Threads simple and fun.

Zuckerberg believes in the power of public conversations. “We’re three months in now, and I’m very happy with the trajectory,” Zuckerberg said on the call. “I’ve thought for a long time that there should be a billion-person public conversations app that is a bit more positive. And I think that if we keep at this for a few more years, then I think we have a good chance of achieving our vision there.”

Zuckerberg wants to create a positive app for a billion people to talk and connect. He’s happy with how Threads is growing and hopes that it will continue to get better in the coming years.
