Oppo India has launched its latest smartphone Oppo A79 5G in India. The phone comes with a 6.72-inch FHD+ 90Hz LCD display, Dimensity 6020 7nm processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, 50+2 MP rear camera, 8MP selfie camera, and 5000mAh battery.
OPPO A79 5G features a 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD display. The display panel has a 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 680 nits peak brightness. The display also has a 96% NTSC color gamut. The phone runs Android 13 with ColorOS 13.1 out of the box.
It packs an Octa Core MediaTek Dimensity 6020 7nm processor and Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. Oppo A79 5G gas 8GB LPDDR4x RAM. It also has 128GB (UFS 2.2) storage that is further expandable.
The phone has a 50 megapixels primary camera with Samsung JN1 sensor and a 2 megapixels portrait camera with OV02B1B sensor. The LED flash is also there to assist with low-light photography. It also has 8 megapxiels front-facing camera for selfies.
The fingerprint sensor is on the side button for biometric authentication. Connectivity options are 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and USB Type-C. It packs 5000mAh battery with 33W SuperVOOC charging. It boasts to charge up to 51% in 30 minutes.
OPPO A79 5G comes in Mystery Black and Glowing Green colors. The dimensions of the phone are 165.6×76×7.99mm and it weighs 193g. The phone is IP54 dust and water-resistant.
