OPPO A2x with 6.56-inch 90Hz display, Dimensity 6020 Announced

OPPO has today introduced its latest budget smartphone OPPO A2x in its A series in China. The phone features a 6.56-inch 90Hz display. Dimensity 6020 7nm processor, up to 8GB RAM, 13MP rear camera, 5MP selfie camera, and 5000mAh battery.

OPPO A2x sports a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD display 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. The display panel also has up to 720 nits peak brightness. The phone runs Android 13 with ColorOS 13.1 out of the box.

The smartphone packs Octa Core MediaTek Dimensity 6020 7nm processor and Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It comes in two models 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. It also supports an additional 8GB of virtual RAM.

There is a 13 megapixels rear camera on the back panel and a 5 megapixels front-facing camera for the selfies.

The fingerprint sensor is on the side button. The phone has 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C connectivity. It packs a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging. Oppo claims that the battery has been optimized to last for 4 years or 1,200 cycles with battery health of over 80%.

Oppo A2x comes in three colors – Black, Yellow, and Purple. The Yellow and Purple color options feature a neat texture on their backs. The phone is IP54 water and dust-resistant. It has microSD slot on the left side, and power button on the right side. Oppo A2x measures 163.8×75.1×8.12mm and weighs 185g.

The 6/128 GB version costs CNY1,099 and 8/256 GB option is priced at CNY1,399. The phone is already up for sale in China and we do not have any information on the company has plans to launch it outside China.
