Google has changed the name of Google Camera app to Pixel Camera on the Play Store. The company has also updated the app description and added key features to provide more details about the app. The latest version of the Pixel Camera app is available for Pixel devices running Android 14 and above

The app description reads, “Never miss a moment with the fully redesigned Pixel Camera, and take fantastic photos and videos using features like Portrait, Night Sight, Time Lapse, and Cinematic Blur.”

Google is also highlighting the Pixel 8 Pro Exclusive Features like 50 megapixels High Res and Pro Controls.

It seems the company has only changed its name. There is no new feature added to the app. Pixel Camera app is also compatible with Wear OS smartwatches running Wear OS 3 or higher.

Unfortunately, the app is only for Pixel devices and is not compatible with non-Pixel smartphones. But you will surely get Pixel Camera APK from APK download sites to download the app on non-Pixel smartphones.
