With the new feature, WhatsApp will enable cross-platform messaging with third-party apps.
WABetaInfo, a website that keeps an eye on WhatsApp, says this “Third-party chats” feature is being tested with beta users. But it doesn’t work for everyone yet. The name makes us think that it might help Meta’s secret messaging app work on different platforms. This means even if you don’t have WhatsApp, you can still chat with people who use it.
