TECNO just introduced its first flip phone TECNO Phantom V Flip at an event in Singapore. The phone has 6.9-inch foldable display and a circular 1.32-inch outer display. It packs a Dimensity 8050 6nm processor, 8GB RAM, 64+13 MP rear camera, 32MP selfie camera, and 4000mAh battery.
TECNO Phantom V Flip 5G features a 6.9-inch FHD+ foldable display with 120Hz refresh ate. The display panel has 1000 nits peak brightness. It has a circular 1.32-inch secondary outer AMOLED Always-On Display. It offers several; personalization options like checking notifications, weather updates and more.
The phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8050 5G chip with ARM G77 MC9 GPU. It has 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone also has an Ultra-Thin VC Liquid Cooling system. The Flip phone runs Android 13 with HiOS 13 out of the box. The company also promises 2 Android OS upgrades and 3 years of security patches.
The camera system includes 64 megapixels primary camera and a 13 megapixels ultra-wide camera. For selfies, the phone has a 32 megapixels front-facing camera on the inner display.
The phone has a self-developed drop-shaped hinge that delivers a crease-free experience. Tecno claims that the hinge has a durability of over 200,000 folds. TECNO Phantom V Flip 5G has a 3D curved body with a Flexible Hoverlock design. The hinge can be adjusted at 30° to 150° flexible angles. It measures 171.72 x 74.05 x 6.95mm when unfolded and 88.77 x 74.05 x 14.9 mm when folded. The phone comes in Mystic Dawn and Iconic Black colors with a leather back.
Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS/GLONASS, USB Type-C, and NFC. The fingerprint sensor is on the side button.
TECNO Phantom V Flip 5G packs a 4000mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging. The phone can be charged up to 33% in 10 minutes.
TECNO PHANTOM V Flip 5G will be available at an early bird price of Rs. 49,999 on Amazon India starting from October 1st.
