Lenovo unveiled its Lenovo Legion Go handheld gaming console during IFA 2023. It is Lenovo’s first Windows gaming handheld device with powerful specs. The device will compete against Steam Deck, Nintendo Switch, and Asus ROG Ally.

Lenovo Legion Go features an 8.8-inch QHD+IPS display with 10-point touch support, up to 144Hz refresh rate, and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The display also has 97 percent coverage of DCI-P3 color gamut and 500 nits of peak brightness.

The device has a touchpad, D-Pad, an angled mouse wheel 10 mappable shoulder buttons, triggers, and grip buttons. It also features detachable Legion TrueStrike controllers for improved flexibility. For improved thermal management, the company has added a liquid crystal polymer 79-blade fan.

The handheld gaming console is powered by AMD Ryzen Z1 series of SoCs and AMD RDNA graphics. The device packs up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. Internal storage is also expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card.

Connectivity options include two USB-Type C ports, support USB 4.0, DisplayPort 1.4, and Power Delivery 3.0. It also has a microSD card slot and a 3.5mm audio jack. For wireless connectivity, the device has Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2. It also features two speakers rated to offer 2W output and a dual-array microphone.

Lenovo Legion Go packs a dual-cell 49.2Wh battery with support for fast charging. Lenovo claims that it takes 30 minutes to charge from 0 to 70 percent. The device comes with a 65W charger.

Lenovo Legion Go is priced at EUR 799 and will be available starting November this year.
