Along with the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, Apple also unveiled the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. The Pro models feature a titanium body and come with the all-new Action Button. Apple also claims that these are the most powerful smartphones from Apple.
The iPhone 15 Pro features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display and the Pro Max has a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display. Both phones support always-on display and the new StandBy mode.
Both the phones are powered by Apple’s own A17 Pro chip that Apple claims to be the fastest smartphone chip in any smartphone. Apple has also redesigned the GPU to offer PC-level gaming performance.
The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max feature a 48 megapixels wide camera, 12 megapixels ultra-wide camera, and 12 megapixels telephoto camera. The Pro model offers 3x optical zoom and the Pro max model offers 6x variable zoom. Both phones come with 12 megapixels selfie camera.
Both phones feature USB-C port. Apple claims that 15 Pro is the first phone with 10Gbps transfer speeds that will make photos and video transfer much faster.
Apple has replaced the ringer switch with an Action Button. It is the new button that can be customized to run shortcuts, perform accessibility features, open the camera, and more. By default, it acts as the ringer switch.
Now you will be able to shoot 4K60 ProRes videos. It also lets you even shoot directly to an external drive through the all-new USB-C port. The new iPhone 15 Pro can also capture ‘spatial videos’ for the Vision Pro.
The iPhone 15 Pro starts at $999 and the Pro Max starts at $1,199. Both the phones will be up for pre-order this Friday and will go on sale starting September 22nd.
