Telegram introduced Stories for Premium users last month. Now the company has officially rolled out Stories to all users on the platform. Users can post photos and videos as a Story. There are also options to add captions, locations, and links to your Stories. You can also tag your friends in Stories. There’s also a Dual Camera Mode that lets you capture from the front and rear cameras of your device simultaneously.
Stories will be displayed at the top of your screen. You will also be able to share, react, or reply to Stories. If you Tap and hold the heart icon, it gives you hundreds of reactions to choose from.
Unlike other platforms, Telegram lets users edit Stories after posting. On other platforms like Instagram, Snapchat, or FaceBook, If you want to change anything in the Story, you will have to delete the Story and reupload the new one.
“For the first time in the history of social media, you can update any element of your story at any time – changing its visibility, caption, on-screen text, stickers or anything else – without having to delete and repost it from scratch,” Telegram explains in a blog post.
Telegram also provides privacy controls for Stories. So, you can choose who can see your Stories. You can make them available to everyone, your contacts, and a few selected contacts. If you do not want to see Stories of contact, you can move them to the “Hidden” list.
The company also lets users set the expiration time of the Story. You can set it to expire in 6, 12, 24, or 48 hours. Telegram also lets you permanently display Stories on your profile the same way you set Instagram Highlights,
Although Stories are made available to all users, Premium users still have a few exclusive features for Stories. Premium users get Stealth Mode that erases their views from any stories.
