Microsoft has announced that it will shut down Xbox 360 Store on July 29, 2024. After the date, users will not be able to purchase buy new Xbox 360 games, DLC, and other things from the store.

Even after July 2024, you can continue enjoying existing games on Xbox 360 console as long as the game developer keeps the online servers running.

Backward-compatible Xbox 360 games will still be available from Xbox.com, Xbox One Store, and Xbox Series X|S Store. All the backward-compatible games you bought for Xbox 360 will work on newer consoles.

Microsoft Movies & TV app will also stop working on the console on the same day. So, users will also not be able to watch TV shows and films on Xbox 360 console. All the content you bought from Xbox 360 store will be accessible on Windows devices, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Xbox 360 will complete 18 years of existence in November this year. The last game for the console was released around five years ago. So, It also doesn’t make sense for Microsoft to keep the store running.
