Lava has launched its latest budget smartphone Lava Yuva 2. The phone comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ display, Unisoc T606 SoC, 3GB RAM, 64GB Storage, dual rear camera, 5 MP selfie camera, and 5000mAh battery. The phone is priced at Rs. 6,999.
Lava Yuva 2 features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with 1600 x 720 pixels resolution and 269ppi pixel density. The display panel has a 90Hz refresh rate. This is good to see a high refresh rate in a budget phone. There is also a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera.
The phone runs Android 12 out of the box. Lava also claims that there is no bloatware in the UI. The company also promises one Android upgrade and quarterly security updates for a period of two years.
The smartphone packs Octa-Core Unisoc T606 12nm processor with Mali-G57 MC2 650MHz GPU. It has 3GB RAM and supports up to an additional 3GB virtual RAM. The phone also has 64GB UFS 2.2 storage and Internal storage is further expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card.
It has a 13 megapixels primary camera with f/1.8 aperture. The phone also features a secondary VGA camera. There is also an LED flash to help capture photos in low light. For selfies, it has a 5 megapixels front camera. The rear camera can record 1080p videos. The camera app also offers several modes including Beauty, HDR, Night, Portrait, AI, Pro, Panorama, Slow Motion, Filters, GIF, Timelapse, and Intelligent Scanning.
There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor embedded into the power button. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. Lava Yuva 2 packs a 5000mAh battery with 10w charging. Lava promises 35 hours of talk time and 109 minutes of charging time.
Lava Yuva 2 comes in Glass Blue, Glass Lavender, and Glass Green colors. The phone measure 164.96×76.1×8.7mm and it weighs 202g. The glass back gives it a premium feel.
Lava Yuva 2 is priced at Rs. 6999 and will be available across Lava’s retail network starting today. Lava Yuva 2 customers are also eligible for a “free service at home” service in case of any issues with the phone. They can avail of doorstep service within the phone’s warranty period.
