Skyball is making a foray into the smartwatch segment

Skyball has announced its entry into the smartwatch segment. The company will launch five smartwatches this year starting next month. It promises to launch smartwatches with best-in-class performance, design, and functionality. Products will be priced in the range of Rs. 1999 and Rs. 4499.

Skyball has confirmed that it will launch Skyfit Elevate and Skyfit Rigor in August 2023. These watches will offer AMOLED displays, fitness tracking features, and more.

Skyball targets to sell 10000 units of smartwatches and Rs. 40 crore revenue from the smartwatch segment this year. It has partnered with Videomax International Pvt Ltd for the manufacturing and assembly of its smartwatches.

“Our vision for Skyball is to provide customers with premium, feature-rich smartwatches that offer great value for money. We have carefully designed and developed Skyfit Elevate and Skyfit Rigor to exceed expectations and cater to the diverse needs of our customers. We have exciting plans for the festive season and have lined up several new products across categories. With advanced features and an affordable price point, we are confident that Skyball will emerge as a popular brand among consumers,” said Mr. Sandeep Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, Skyball.

The company will also launch a few products in its audio range before Diwali. It plans to launch ten new models in the audio category. With its audio products, Skyball wants to offer an immersive and enjoyable audio experience for all occasions.

India is currently leading the global smartwatch shipment. India saw 121 percent growth in smartwatch shipments in Q1 2023. The availability of affordable smartwatches is the primary reason for smartwatch shipment growth in India. Fire-Boltt, Noise, and boAt are currently the most popular smartwatch brands in the country. Fire-Boltt also managed to surpass Samsung to reach the second position in the global market. It shows the potential of the smartwatch segment.
