Motorola has today launched its latest foldable smartphones Motorola razr 40 and razr 40 ultra in India. Both phones look similar and feature a 6.9-inch display when unfolded. Motorola Razr 40 is priced at Rs. 59999 and Motorola Razr 40 Ultra costs Rs 89,999.

Motorola has improved the hinge in these phones. The number of components in the hinge has been reduced to 85. The hinge can hold the display at 45°~120°. The hinge has also undergone 400,000 opening and closing tests for durability.

The cover display feature is impressive. You can change the display layout, fonts, colors, theme, and even the size. It also gives you quick access to several apps including a music player, Maps, and more.

Now let’s talk about the specifications of Motorola razr 40 and razr 40 ultra.

Motorola razr 40 features a 6.9-inch FlexView FHD+ pOLED display with up to 1400 nits brightness and 144Hz refresh rate. It also supports 10-bit HDR 10+ content. There is a punch-hole cutout at the top center for the selfie camera. The phone also features a 1.5-inch OLED cover screen with 1000-nit brightness. There is also Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection on the cover screen.

It packs Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC paired with Adreno GPU. The phone also packs 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. If I talk about the software, it runs Android 13 OS with MyUX skin on top.

The phone has a dual camera setup with 64 megapixels primary camera and 13 megapixels ultrawide camera with 120-degree FOV. For selfies, it has 32 megapixels front camera.

Motorola razr 40 features stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Spatial Sound. It also has a side fingerprint sensor, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on an external display, and IP52 rating. Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E 802.11ax (2.4GHz/5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, USB Type-C, and NFC.

The phone packs 4200mAh battery with 33W TurboPower fast charging and 5W wireless charging.

Motorola razr 40 is offered in Sage Green, Summer Lilac and Vanilla Cream colors with a vegan leather finish. The phone costs Rs. 59,999 and will be available from Amazon.in, motorola.com and Reliance Digital offline starting from July 15.

Motorola razr 40 Ultra sports a 6.9-inch FlexView FHD+ pOLED LTPO display with 1-165Hz refresh rate and up to 1400 nits peak brightness. It supports 10-bit HDR 10+ and 123% DCI-P3 color gamut. The phone also features a 3.6-inch QuickView pOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate and up to 1100 nits brightness. The external display has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

It packs Octa Core Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 4nm processor with Adreno 730 GPU. The phone has 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

The rear camera setup includes 12 megapixel main camera with OIS and 13 megapixels ultra-wide autofocus camera with 2.5cm macro option. For selfies, it has 32 megapixels front camera.

This phone also has Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and Dust and Splash resistance.

Motorola razr 40 Ultra comes in Phantom Black with a glass back and Viva Magenta with a Vegan leather finish. It costs Rs. 89,999 and will be available from Amazon.in, motorola.com and Reliance Digital offline starting from July 15th.
