At WWDC 2023, Apple introduced its new MacBook Air 15-inch model. The new MacBook Air features a large 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display and M2 chip.
The new 15-inch MacBook Air features the same design as the 13-inch model. It weighs 1.4 Kg and is 11.5 mm. The laptop has a 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display with 500 nits of brightness.
The laptop packs an M2 chip that promises 12x faster than the fastest Intel-based MacBook Air. The M2 chip features an 8-core CPU with four performance cores and four efficiency cores, a 10-core GPU for blazing-fast graphics, and a 16-core Neural Engine. It also supports up to 24GB of fast unified memory.
The new MacBook Air also has a 1080p FaceTime HD camera for FaceTime calls and video conferencing. By using the processing power of the advanced image signal processor on M2, you will look good in video calls. The laptop also has three-mic array to capture clean audio.
The laptop features a new six-speaker sound system with two tweeters and two sets of force-canceling woofers. It has Spatial Audio with support for Dolby Atmos.
Apple promises up to 18 hours of battery life. the new 15-inch Macbook Air has two Thunderbolt ports and supports up to a 6K external display. The laptop also has a MagSafe charging port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The 15-inch MacBook Air with M2 comes in midnight, starlight, silver, and space gray colors. It starts at $1,299 in the US. In India, the laptop starts at Rs. 1,34,900. The new laptop is now available starting today from Apple Online Store. It will also be available on Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Resellers starting Tuesday, June 13.
