WhatsApp users are now facing random spam audio calls from unknown numbers. Several people reported getting 10-15 audio calls per day from different countries. To help users avoid these spam calls, WhatsApp is now working on a feature called Silence Unknown Callers. This feature will give users the ability to silence calls from unknown numbers.

The company is testing an option in the Privacy settings. Soon, it will add a Silence Unknown caller toggle in the Calls section. Once the toggle is enabled, it will silence calls from unknown numbers. But calls will be shown in the call logs and notification center.

The feature is currently under development and will be released in beta versions in the coming days to get user feedback.

For the past few days, several users reported getting calls and messages from unknown numbers offering them a part-time job. A few users who fell into this scam ended up losing their money. So, it is advisable not to receive these calls or reply to these messages. You can also block and report these callers.
