Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake has been officially confirmed during the PlayStation Showcase event. The game will be called ‘Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater.’ The Δ symbol in the name is pronounced Delta. Konami also dropped a cinematic CGI trailer and confirmed that the game will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X / S, and Windows PC via Steam.

The remake will star “The original voice characters, rich storyline and expansive features of combat survival.” The game will come with some differences but with our changing the core structure. Konami also promised “unprecedented graphics and immersive sound.”

Metal Gear Solid 3 is one of the best stealth action games of all time. The game was originally released in 2004 for PlayStation 2. The follows the story of a protagonist Snake who infiltrates a Soviet military base in the Russian wilderness.

The company also announced Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 which includes Metal Gear Solid as well as the first three games. It is set to release in Fall 2023. The last major release in the series was Metal Gear Solid Survive which was released in 2018.
