We have been seeing several reports claiming the presence of Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 in Nothing Phone (2) for the past few days. Now the company founder Carl Pei consumed the same. He tweeted to confirm that the upcoming Nothing Phone (2) will pack Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.

He further claimed that Nothing Phone (2) offers 80% overall performance improvements over the predecessor and app opening speed is twice as fast.

Nothing Phone (1) was launched with Snapdragon 778G+.

It is worth mentioning that Poco F5 Pro was launched with an under-clocked version of Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 that has the prime core running at 3GHz as compared to 3.2GHz in the standard SD 8+ Gen 1. At this moment, we cannot confirm if Nothing Phone (2) will use the standard version of Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 or the under-clocked one.

Nothing Phone (2) should also offer an improved camera performance due to the upgraded SoC.

We already know that Nothing Phone (2) will be launched between June and August. The phone will also be launched in India and will be sold on Flipkart.
