Alan Wake II is scheduled to release on October 17th, 2023, for Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, and PC. The game will be published by Epic Games Publishing. Pre-orders are currently live. It will be available via Epic Games Store on PC.

As per reports, the game is powered by Remedy’s own Northlight Engine which was also used in Quantum Break, Control, and Alan Wake Remastered.

Alan Wake II is a single-player psychological survival horror game with a third-person perspective. Players can play the game as Sam Lake Alan Wake or Saga Anderson in two separate stories. You have to fight enemies and explore various locations. The trailer also confirms that players get two characters to choose from.

Remedy Entertainment also confirmed that the game will not be available on discs. It will only be sold in digital copies.

Alan Wake 2 is the sequel to Alan Wake, which was released back in 2010. Alan Wake 2 also marks Remedy Entertainment’s foray into the survival horror genre.
