At its Snap Partner Summit 2023, Snap made its My AI Chatbot available globally. The company also says that My AI will now be able to respond to messages with a fully AI-generated image.

Snapchat’s My AI is powered by OpenAI’s ChatGPT. This chatbot was launched back in February this year for paid subscribers who joined Snapchat+. My AI can be brought into any conversation with friends by @ mentioning My AI. This chatbot can be used for place recommendations and more content ideas.

“This is the first time we’re bringing AI into communication, which is the core of our service,” he said. “People are really using My AI as a creative tool.”

The company also analyses conversations with My AI and found that 99.5% of responses follow the community guidelines.

Snapchat also wants creators to be active on the platform to compete well against Instagram and TikTok. Snapchat users with at least 50,000 followers, 25 million monthly Snap views, and who post 10 more Stories a month are eligible to join the revenue share program. This program will put ads within the creators’ Stories and will share revenue.

“Creators in the Stories revenue share program are posting more often to Snapchat and our community is loving the content they’re creating,” said Broke Berry, head of Talent Development, Snap Inc.
