Qualcomm announces Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 4nm Mobile Platform

Qualcomm has announced its latest mid-range 7 series mobile platform Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2. It is the successor to Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. If you are confused about Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1 or Snapdragon 7 Gen 2, these mobile platforms don’t exist.
Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 promises substantial performance and improved power efficiency. This SoC is built on TSMC 4nm process. It has 1+3+4 architecture that includes one Kryo Prime Cortex X2 core clocked at up to 2.91GHz, three Kryo Performance Cortex A710 cores clocked at up to 2.49GHz, and four Efficiency Cortex A510 cores running at up to 1.8GHz. The company promises 50% faster CPU performance than its predecessor.
The SoC features an unnamed Adreno GPU that boasts a 2x improved GPU.
The SoC supports on-device QHD+ display at 120 Hz and up to 4K @ 60 Hz external display. The ISP in the chipset is also getting a boost. The SoC has an 18-bit Triple ISP for improved low-light photography. It also supports 200MP sensors and HDR video capture.
Qualcomm’s AI Engine also offers 2x performance improvements. It also features Snapdragon X62 5G Modem-RF System with up to 4.4 Gbps download. The phone with this SpC will be able to utilize the 4G/5G Dual-Sim Dual Active (DSDA) feature. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E, 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) Multi-gigabit, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.3 with support for Qualcomm aptX Voice, aptX Lossless, aptX Adaptive, and LE audio.
Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 also promises 13% improved power efficiency. It also supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 5 fast charging technology.
